Branding Alice Candleland, a Self-Care Brand selling Aromatherapy Candles

Creative Direction

Being part of the founding members, I led the creation of the branding from its concept to design direction. Through several workshops and meetings I carefully shaped the vision and brand pillars for Alice Candleland while still giving enough room to be open to experiment with an aesthetic style.

Alice Candleland: A Healing Journey

Alice, a COVID-19 survivor and registered nurse in New York City, began making aromatherapy candles to ease her post-pandemic struggles. Her story began during the initial COVID wave in 2020, where she tirelessly cared for patients despite limited resources.

Contracting the virus herself, Alice faced a challenging recovery period before returning to work. Witnessing numerous patient deaths and battling lingering COVID effects, she turned to aromatherapy for relief. Creating candles helped her find solace and healing.

On April 23, 2022, Alice and her friends started Alice Candleland to help people with conditions that are inexplicable. As part of the Alice Candleland team, we hoped to give comfort and create a community of heartfelt care. We wanted to encourage one another to say “hello!” to our loved ones or even a neighbor to take care of one another and pray for the best of all of us :)
